Learning Support

STM Catholic holds its students to high academic standards. We believe it is important for students to attempt rigorous tasks that extend their cognitive abilities, so that they will be best prepared for the demands of high school and college ahead. But no student has to go it alone.

STM Catholic is committed to the academic success of all students, however differently they may learn and no matter what particular challenges they may face. To this end, we have cultivated a supportive learning environment throughout the school so that our students should always feel comfortable asking for extra help. We have also developed a range of specific learning support services, including peer and teacher tutoring, before and after school teacher consultations, learning assessment and development programs, a variety of reading improvement programs, as well as special programs that offer additional challenge to the gifted and advanced students.

Enrichment Center

The School's Enrichment Center is the primary resource for learning support services. Staffed by two veteran teachers, the Enrichment Center provides a quiet environment for individual and small group tutoring. Enrichment Center teachers also provide special in-classroom learning support services, and a variety of assessment and guidance services. In addition, the Enrichment Center has developed special programs to provide extra growth opportunities for students exhibiting exceptional abilities in any area of our curriculum.
