Stewardship
Home & School Association
The Home and School Association of St. Thomas More Catholic School exists to plan activities and events that are designed to promote good will, spiritual growth, and a sense of belonging within the STM Catholic community. All parents who have children currently enrolled at STM Catholic are automatically included as members of the Home & School Association. We encourage all to be actively involved.
Volunteering
As a volunteer, you may provide support to the faculty and administration, chaperone field trips, assist with coaching a sports team, help organize the Book Fair, coordinate extra-curricular activities, work in the library, plant seasonal flowers, organize the used uniform sale, or provide assistance with the Mane Event, to name just a few of the many ways parents get involved. The association is always eager for more volunteers.
The Mane Event
The Mane Event is the premier fundraising and community building event of each year. This silent auction and dinner gala provides an opportunity for parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, faculty and staff to secure the continued excellence of a STM Catholic education. Support of the Mane Event is critical to the School as it underwrites a percentage of the budget. Proceeds from The Mane Event benefit every facet of the School's operation – from faculty salaries to extra-curricular activities, from technology to athletics. In addition, a portion of The Mane Event proceeds is directed to the Children's Charity Fund, as part of the School's longstanding commitment to support this important community service enterprise.
School Advisory Committee
The School Advisory Committee is made up of the pastor, school administrators and selected members of the school parent community. Responsibilities of the committee include planning, policy formulation, finances, public relations, and marketing. In all matters, the School Advisory Committee functions in an advisory capacity only. If you have special expertise in a relevant field and would like to be involved in the work of this committee, we invite you to contact us.
Grocery Certificates
The Grocery Certificates program provides another means for us to raise funds for the School’s operating budget. The program is simple and requires no additional monetary contribution or extra effort from our parents. When you purchase grocery certificates from us, a percentage of the cost is returned to STM Catholic. All School families are required to participate in this program.
