Hello, everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend! Thank you for making the effort to attend conferences last week. Please remember to email us if you ever have any questions or concerns!
Just as a reminder, please be sure to have your child bring a jacket/sweatshirt everyday to school in case the weather changes unexpectedly. Students will always go out to recess unless it is raining/snowing or the temperature is frigid. Thank you!

This year, STM would like to honor the Veterans in our lives with a video. Please email ONE picture of any and all Veterans in your family to Rachel Espinosa (email@example.com). We would like to include as many branches as we can including: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, Reserves and National Guard. Please only send US Vets. All pictures must be submitted by November 2nd, 2018.
The Lesson 1 – 4 test is scheduled for this Wednesday, October 10th. On Thursday, we will begin our in-depth study of the 10 Commandments. Lectio Divina Week 7 will be due on Friday, October 12th, and 2nd Step Week 4 is due on Wednesday, October 10th.
DeWolfe: This week, we will be moving on to study Order of Operation. There will be nightly homework this week. Just as a reminder – if your child is stuck on a problem, PLEASE do not spend a ton of time on it as they can ask me to explain it to them in the morning. Newly assigned math homework (does not include math facts) should take between 15 – 20 minutes. If you are spending more than that, please let me know. All students have been asked to continue practicing their multiplication facts at home for 5 – 10 minutes a night.
The chapter 3 test is still scheduled for Tuesday, October 9th. There is a blank Respiratory and Circulatory Diagrams sheet in the Teacher Resources area on my blog. These diagrams will be on the test so I would recommend a copy (or two or three) be printed off and used to practice/study for the test. On Wednesday, we will begin chapter 4!
We have finally completed the Ancient American Artifacts presentations today! The artifacts turned out wonderfully and I’m hoping you took some time during conferences to take a peek at them! We began chapter 1 lesson 3 today and will wrap up chapter 1 by the end of the week at the latest, and then move on to chapter 2!
