LOOKING BACK AT LAST WEEK

RELIGION – We continued with Lesson 14, where we learned that although Jesus is not with us today in the same way he was when he lived on earth, he is with us today in another way. Jesus is with us through the Church’s teachings, sacraments, and other works of love

MATH – We finished Chapter 9, Length, and will take the test on Thursday.

LANGUAGE ARTS – In Unit 7, Lesson 3 we isolated sounds in words and generated words that contain oo spelled oo, u and ue. Our Read Aloud stories this week were Protective Plants and Fruits and Good Health. Reading skills that we worked on included genre review and background information. We learned that adjectives are describing words that tell about a noun or pronoun. We read decodable books 90 and 91 and they went home. I hope they continue to read them to you!

SOCIAL STUDIES – We discussed why we celebrate Presidents’ Day. We read stories and completed some fun activities that helped us learn more about President Washington and President Lincoln.
