A Peek at the Week:

Religion: We will understand that if we have lived as images of God, dying is the beginning of a new life with God in heaven.

Reading: We will segment and count phonemes in words, delete final phonemes to make new words, and build and read words.

Math: We will recognize and understand the value of a penny, nickel, dime and quarter.

Social Studies: We will describe different kinds of jobs in our neighborhoods.

Science: We will learn characteristics of geographic features that are high and low.

Second Step: We will learn that it is not okay to call people names and if someone does not stop calling you names, you can ignore the person or respond assertively.

Reminders:

**Last week was our last week of homework packets!! We will continue to do Poem in my Pocket. Friday will also be the last day for Show and Tell. It is free choice! Your child can bring in any toy or special item to share with the class.

**Mark your calendars…. Our Kindergarten Program will be Thursday, May 16 at 9:00 am in the school gym! Please join us afterwards for cookies in our classroom!

**Our Kindergarten School Mass is this Tuesday, April 30. We hope you can join us for our special mass.

**Thank you to all the parents who offered to chaperone the field trip! We have selected and notified the five parents who will be going from each class.
