Brigid Ryan

Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Brigid Ryan. I was born in central Indiana, grew up in southeastern New Mexico. I've lived in Texas, the midwest and the pacific north west, and fourteen years ago I moved to Denver.

Over my time as an educator I've spent time working with pre-school-4th graders. This is my thirteenth year as a teacher at STM Catholic. I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with and emphasis in Literacy and Digital Learning from the University of San Diego.  I am also the 4th-8th grade Spelling Bee coach for STM as well as the Archdiocesan Spelling Bee coordinator. While I wear many hats, I am excited for the opportunity to learn and grow with your children this school year.

One of my favorite quotes is "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away." I feel that this quote also encompasses teaching and all of the things we can learn from our students.

My teaching philosophy is that every child deserves a chance to learn and grow, though there might be a few roadblocks on the way. I will always stop what I am doing to make sure that students have the opportunity to blossom and learn to their full potential.

Email is the best way to contact me. I will respond to you as soon as possible but within 24 hours from when you contacted me.
