Hello, my name is Elizabeth Gray and I am pleased to be teaching 6th grade Math and Science, and 8th grade Religion for the 2019/2020 school year.  I have a degree in Secondary Education from the University of Northern Colorado, and I have eight years’ experience teaching at the high school and middle school level.  In 2007, I took a break from teaching full time while starting my family;  however, I continued to substitute teach at STM from 2007 until 2016, when I took over for the 6th grade Math and Science position. My early teaching experience in the public schools has given me a profound respect for the quality of education at STM Catholic.  I have always been grateful to be a part of the STM community, first as a substitute, then as a parent (I have three daughters in 7th, 5th, and 2nd grade) and now as a full time member of the staff.

As a teacher, I believe all students are capable of amazing achievements given the right environment, instruction, and attitude.   It is my fervent desire to elicit the best from each student by creating an environment that embodies mutual respect, providing instruction that addresses a variety of different learning styles, and inspiring students’ curiosity and intellectual growth.

It is my sincere pleasure to be a part of the STM Catholic community, and I look forward to working with the students, staff, and families that have contributed to making STM Catholic such a great school.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  I can be reached at lizg@stthomasmore.org.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Gray
