WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE!
My name is Paulette Duran and this is my twelfth year of teaching at a Catholic School. I am new to St. Thomas More and feel that I am more than blessed to be here teaching your children.
I hold a BS in Child Psychology from the University of Colorado and hold a teaching license from Regis University. I also have taken several advanced graduate level courses in Reading. I have taught RCIA, (religious ed.) to adults and children for 13 years. I love to read, hike, and travel with my husband and four sons.
In my second grade classroom, I love to teach through differentiated instruction. The children are taught through whole group, pair group, and small group instruction. Each child learns also from their classmates and together we all learn from each other. My goal for instructing my students is to always teach morality and the Catholic values first and foremost while encompassing the high standards of education.
The second grade classroom communication will be through my weekly blogs. You can always email me at email@example.com with any of your concerns or inquiries. Thank you once again for the privilege of teaching your child this school year.
God bless each and every second grade family....
